The company is driven by the unmet need to develop integrated devices to simplify clinical procedures performed by interventional radiologists. Initially, the company is particularly interested in uterine fibroid embolization (UFE). The founders have developed a novel radiopaque embolic agent that will allow UFE to be performed more efficiently and in a safer manner. ABK Biomedical will focus on bringing this technology to market while fostering development of additional technologies that will be added to ABK’s product pipeline.
