Join the Nova Scotia Health Innovation Hub, Springboard Atlantic, and Life Sciences Nova Scotia on Thursday, May 16, to hear from Louis-Pierre Gravelle, partner with Bereskin & Parr LLP, who will speak about the importance of having an intellectual property (IP) strategy for life science companies adopting AI as part of their business. About the speaker:
Louis-Pierre Gravelle is a partner with Bereskin & Parr LLP. He is co-leader of the Quantum Technologies Group.

Louis-Pierre specialises in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications and providing patentability, validity, infringement and right to manufacture opinions in the fields of electricity, telecommunications, mechanical and information technology. He has experience in micro-electronics, computer systems, artificial intelligence, blockchain, crypto, and quantum technologies. He is a registered patent agent in Canada and in the United States (1998).

Louis-Pierre is involved in due diligence matters and managing patent portfolios. He is also involved in strategic counselling for start-ups, small, medium and large-sized businesses.

He is a member of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC) and the Canadian Bar Association (CBA). Louis-Pierre is past-chair of the Intellectual Property Section of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA). He is the current president of FICPI Canada, as well as vice-president of the Practice Management Committee of FICPI (international). He is recognized in the IAM Strategy 300 (since 2023) and has been listed in the IAM Patents 1000 (since 2012). Louis-Pierre is also the co-chair, North America, of GLIPA, the Global IP Alliance.
