The Preformulation Scientist is responsible for supporting early-stage pharmaceutical development through the design, development, and evaluation of formulations suitable for preclinical toxicology studies. The role involves extensive hands-on laboratory work, including the selection of formulation strategies based on API physicochemical properties, excipient compatibility assessments, and chemical and physical stability studies. The scientist conducts solubility screening, solid-state characterization, and formulation performance evaluations using a range of advanced analytical techniques. Responsibilities also include data analysis, technical documentation, report writing, and presentation of results in a collaborative research environment.
