BioNova’s annual life sciences conference also plays host to the industry group’s BioInnovation Challenge startup competition.
Nova Scotia life sciences industry group BioNova will hold its 22nd annual BioPort conference September 13 at the Halifax Marriot Harbourfront, with internationally notable speakers from the worlds of biotech, pharmaceuticals and public health.
The conference roster is yet to be announced this year, but prior speakers have included William Charnetski, Ontario’s Chief Health Innovation Strategist, 3D BioFibR CEO Kevin Sullivan, whose company just raised $3.5 million, and Corinna Lathan, a serial entrepreneur whose Maryland-based AnthroTronix develops biomedical assistive devices.
The theme of this year’s conference will be Reimagining Life Science. Organizations can attend as BioPartners, giving them access to networking space and other perks.
BioPort also plays host to BioNova’s BioInnovation Challenge pitch competition, which offers selected participants pitch training and mentorship, as well as five figures worth of prizes for the winners.
